The Alliance Housing Fellowship

  • This job will provide industry-specific training leading to a pipeline of diverse housing leaders that can connect communities to technical experts, advocacy organizations, housing development professionals, and social service providers working on housing solutions.

Fellows will work closely with the Alliance and host organization to develop the fellowship experience. The Alliance has ideas about how the fellowship might work but would defer major program design decisions to the fellows themselves in the first quarter of the program. The driving goal of this program is to provide fellows with direct experience in housing as well as an opportunity to explore housing solutions that can be taken back to their communities. Additionally, fellows can share their experiences with the Alliance team to broaden our understanding of current challenges to develop community-based solutions.

The Alliance will provide a primary mentor that will meet with fellows weekly to discuss their passions, identify resources, and help devise strategies for taking advantage of this 12-month opportunity to be immersed in affordable housing. If desired, the fellow may also work with Alliance staff on specific projects to gain skills and direct experience.
