COLOR: Digital Media Coordinator

    The Colorado Organization for Latina Opportunity and Reproductive Rights (COLOR) & COLOR Action Fund (COLOR AF) is a community-rooted, multi-entity organization that works to enable Latinxs and their families to lead safe, healthy, and self-determined lives by holding elected officials accountable to our issues and electing people who support our mission.

  • The Digital Media Coordinator specializes in supporting the development of COLOR’s online presence through websites and various social media campaigns. The responsibilities revolve around overseeing COLOR and COLOR AF’s digital software, coordinating different teams and professionals alongside the Communications Director, developing web aesthetics and content, and managing digital data. As a digital media coordinator, it is essential to lead and encourage the team in the joint effort to raise brand awareness and message, all while implementing the organization’s mission and vision.

    The position is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Strategic Communications Director and is based in Denver, CO. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to COLOR’s vision, mission, and programs.

  • ★ Aid Strategic Communications Director in creating original, compelling Reproductive Justice framed content for social media, traditional advertising, paid communications, program materials, etc.

    ★ Update and manage COLOR and COLOR Action Fund websites in collaboration with the Strategic Communications Director.

    ★ Update and manage COLOR and COLOR Action Fund social media accounts in collaboration with the Strategic Communications Director.

    ★ Support in ensuring the accuracy of external materials, including the creation of PowerMails, press statements, digital toolkits, etc.

    ★ Support COLOR team with technical needs (social media, tech, EveryAction emails).

    ★ Assist in replying to direct messages from COLOR and COLOR AF audiences on our different social platforms.

    ★ Assist in moderating comments, live tweets, and social engagements during live-streamed events.

    ★ Manage targeted emails and petitions through EveryAction

    ★ Maintain style guide and other key resources informing branding and external communications.

    ★ Support the development of the Youth of COLOR Communications fellow in meeting their objectives.

  • REQUIRED:

    ★ Is collaborative; works well on teams and with others, fosters a community environment.

    ★ Flexible work schedule when evening and weekend hours are required.

    PREFERRED:

    ★ 1-2 years experience in communications, social media management, and/or marketing.

    ★ Outstanding planning and organizational abilities and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

    ★ Must possess excellent writing and speaking skills and the ability to present information in creative and captivating ways.

    ★ Knowledge of EveryAction, MS Office, WordPress/Wix, Google Apps, Canva, and common social media platforms is highly preferred.

    ★ Preferred knowledge in Facebook Analytics, Twitter Analytics, Instagram Analytics, Adobe Creative Cloud Software, and EveryAction.

    ★ Experience working on RJ issues either programmatically or educationally is highly encouraged.

    ★ Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

  • Salary and Benefits Salary range of $59k-$62 based on experience. COLOR provides a benefits package that includes generous paid vacation and holidays, paid health insurance, dental, disability, and life insurance with annual stipends for self-care and community care, professional development funds, and monthly cell phone/internet stipends. After three months of employment, staff are eligible for a 3% retirement match.

  • This position is a hybrid of remote and in-person work; one in-office day per week is required (beginning in 2024 two in-office days per week are required). Some travel required.
